Merciless1 0 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I have an HEVC file which should not be transcoding in my version of Chromium; where are the transcoding profiles so I can adjust and fix this?
Luke 42078 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Hi, there currently is no setting for this. Are you saying you built your own Chromium to direct play this?
Merciless1 0 Posted December 10, 2017 Author Posted December 10, 2017 Yes, and it is not being detected properly. I have verified HEVC playback through a number of HEVC test-pages and am confident it is working correctly.

Luke 42078 Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Ok so that's only trying to play. It's not trying to determine support using the canPlayType method on a video element. For example, this is what we are using to detect hevc support: document.createElement('video').canPlayType('video/hevc; codecs="hevc, aac"'); So ideally what you need to do is get your custom chromium build to return true for that test and then you're all set.
