FreeBSD_Lover 14 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I really like the folder view, so much so in fact I wish this were the default screen presentation, but never mind that, that's not the issue I am reporting. I am using Version 3.2.36.0 on FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-p4 (FreeBSD ports does not have newer version yet), so I don't know if this issue is resolved already, and I could not find discussion on this already. Please point me to URL of thread if this has already been discussed. Also I am put this in the "General" list of topics, instead of FreeBSD because I don't see that this is a FreeBSD OS issue. Here is an example: I added /nasdisk1/music as a media library and set its type to music. It contains only music. Inside I see various tiles, but many of them are labeled wrong. Here is one tile and its info: Path:/nasdisk1/music/Christmas/Various_Christmas_Songs_ChildrenTitle:Christmas with the Chipmunks So from the "Folders" view I see a folder tile labeled "Christmas with the Chipmunks" instead of "Various_Christmas_Songs_Children". In the other media servers I am using (Plex which should be going away in the new year, and MiniDLNA (which I use on another small server) the presentation tiles are labeled with the actual folder name, and not with derived/assumed metadata info. And that includes folders insider of folders. So like this: Music Videos Pictures Clicking on Music one would see Christmas Blues Jazz Rock Pop Clicking on Rock one would see a list of the various folders there. See what I mean? Could that be achievable? That the Folder view would use the true name of the folder and not derived info? I search for configurable options, but no joy there. Let me know if you need more info. I don't think I have them all fixed yet. Thanks again!
Luke 42083 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 It's not currently something you can configure but it's possible for the future. thanks.
FreeBSD_Lover 14 Posted December 9, 2017 Author Posted December 9, 2017 Thank you. I'll just do manual renaming. Keep up the great work! Not related to this discusion, but playlists via DLNA seem to be working great. I think in the new year I'll have to spend some $$$ and buy into (at least some of) the premium features.
