Hello

 

I have Emby Live TV setup to use the DVBLink plugin which runs my TV tuners. Under settings on Emby I have enabled "Auto convert recordings to streaming friendly format" (and i do have emby premiere) however the recordings are still being made in .TS file format, no conversion is taking place. Is this because the plugin is handing the recording over to the DVBLink backend and not being handled in Emby itself?

 

Is there a way to force Emby to recode the recording once completed?

It doesn't support pluginsis it was mentioned previously that there should be a message to say that it is only supported for built in pvr.

 

I can tell you that you are not missing much i had nothing but trouble with it i think it should be converted when the recording finishes not while it is recording.

Embys running on a QNAP EC1080 so I might get the native OS to do the transcoding for me once its finished recording.

Update - Okay so the QNAP will detect the files and auto convert them to MP4, they all end up distorted along the horizontal axis (squashed). Not an Emby issue I know but annoying none the less.
