Xbox One S video problems with playback of recording

Seemingly randomly (observed 46 minutes into a 60 minute recording), video would stop playing but audio would keep playing. I checked the recording directly on my computer and it seems to be fine.

I don't know of a way to submit logs from the Xbox One app...

Edit: attached logs. I think those directstream ffmpeg logs coincide with the problem...

So you're saying the video was black while the audio continued to play? what was on screen? thanks.

The video was paused, not black. Had a picture of some dude on an ad. Audio kept playing. He stopped and resumed the recording and it did the same thing (not sure if in the exact same spot).

Might be related but he was jumping past the ad.

So it only started happening once he tried to seek? or it happened on it's own?

Seeking. He was jumping probably 5 times at once to get by an ad and it would get stuck. Then stop/resume on the same device would resume in that very same hole so it was effectively broken without clearing the resume setting for that user/recording. At least that's what I think happened...it got stuck in a seeking trap.

He resumed from an NVIDIA SHIELD TV and had no problems finishing the episode.

Ok, the xbox app is using the microsoft video player. I think just like android tv, we're going to have to prevent direct play of .ts files in order to correct this via remuxing. Thanks.

If you are planning this, can you make it optional

I direct play all the time using ts files without issue
