Broken audio on Galaxy S6 using Sony WF1000X Wireless earphones

Hi guys,

 

Got an odd bug in the Android app.  When playing audio using the Android app on my Galaxy S6 using Sony WF1000X wireless earphones, I get broken audio that sounds like a massives congested Bluetooth connection.

 

The thing is, the earphones are fine with every other app.

The music I'm listening to works fine using Emby Web in my desktop browser, so not a server issue.

 

I've tried restarting the phone and breaking and remaking the bluetooth pairing, both to no avail.

 

Any thoughts?
