mbguy 40 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 I remember a while ago coming across some settings that I could try on the Emby for Kodi Add-On to "slow down" or "throttle" the initial or subsequent syncing process. Currently on my Kodi 17.6, the Emby Add-on wouldn't complete the initial sync successfully, as I've had to restart the server multiple times so far. Each time it would sync about a few shows/moveis and then crashes. One of the signs is Emby Add-on getting stuck at "Processing Movies..." from time to time and when I check Emby Server, it has already crashed. I have done a "Reset database" but it doesn't seem to help so far. Does this have anything to do with "time-out" or "threads"?
Angelblue05 4132 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 (edited) I'd say try to disable force artwork cache in the addon sync options. @@Luke any recent changes with the artwork process server side? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited December 2, 2017 by Angelblue05 1
Luke 42078 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 No. @@mbguy, please attach the information requested in how to report a problem. thanks !
mbguy 40 Posted December 2, 2017 Author Posted December 2, 2017 Will attach the log when I get home later, but a quick update about the nature of problem. Basically I repeatedly launched Emby Server on Windows until the Emby for Kody completed its initial sync. After this, I used "Manual Sync" to see if anything was missed. The scanning process was very fast (seconds) for multiple libraries and hundreds of titles but when it came to two specific libraries, a small subset of titles (about 200 of them out of ~1000) would always get into "Processing..." count-down one by one, even though they have been successfully added in the Initial Sync and Manual Sync.
mbguy 40 Posted December 3, 2017 Author Posted December 3, 2017 @@Luke, I just sent the server log via PM to you. Thanks in advance!
Luke 42078 Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 I don't see anything in the server log that looks like a problem. Can you try installing the latest version of the server from the website on top of your existing version? thanks.
