nvader2000 12 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 I am seeing a ton these entries in the log files when I start watching a movie. h264_qsv @ 0x1ea2e20] Error initializing an internal MFX session: unsupported (-3) I was watching Minions (1080p/MKV) taken from a Blu-Ray that I bought. Play back appeared to be fine to start be then it started to pause/freeze. I adjusted the play back quality from Auto to 10Mbps but still had pause/freeze issues. Please advise.
nvader2000 12 Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 (edited) Still getting playback issues. Logs attached. Thank you in advance. Please advise. Server_Logs.zip Edited December 17, 2017 by nvader2000
Luke 42078 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Hi there, did you forget to attach the logs? Thanks !
nvader2000 12 Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 Should be in a ZIP file. I can see them in my post. Reattaching... Another note: The movie plays fine from Google Chrome browser. However, on my Xbox One S and Emby Theater app on my Windows 10 desktop it stop roughly around 6-7 minutes in. I have tried several times to see if rebooting Emby Server, Synology NAS, or the Xbox One S would resolve. Stats for nerds does not report any errors either. Xbox One S is running latest RTM build. One thing that I did change but it did not appear to help was the Transcoding thread count from Max to Auto.
Luke 42078 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 In this particular zip file the ffmpeg log is blank. can you try that one again? thanks.
nvader2000 12 Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 Right you are. Sorry about that. Re-reattaching. FFMpeg_LOgs.zip
nvader2000 12 Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 Ok, I am back to having issue with the "Quality" being set to Auto. If I set it down to 30 Mbps the video appears to play fine. So "Auto" does not seem to work. Is there a way to predefine this for all playback? Ideally I would prefer that it figure this out on its own. What do my logs tell you?
nvader2000 12 Posted December 24, 2017 Author Posted December 24, 2017 (edited) Emby continues to pause and freeze during play back even after setting the play back down to 15Mbps. Log files attached. Please advise... ffmpeg.txt server.txt Edited December 24, 2017 by nvader2000
Luke 42078 Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 In this log that's because your transcoding just isn't happening fast enough to be playable. Converting VC1 can be very slow. Try playing some h264 content.
