PBzeer 6 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 While I can use the online image browser for movies, I get nothing for music. In movies, I get the little "in progress" icon prior to them loading, but nothing to indicate I'm even connecting to anything in music. (I've got everything metadata related enabled in music) Is it me (I'm using Firefox), or is there something I'm not doing?
PBzeer 6 Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 So it really only works for the individual albums, not from the group name itself (it shows images for albums)? Basically then, if you have: Music/ Album Artist/ Album (or multiple albums) you have to manually load images for Album Artist, since it doesn't pull them from the IBN/Artists folder and they don't have a fetcher ID?
Luke 42078 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 we probably were unable to identify your music on musicbrainz or the audiodb. so you want to start by looking at metadata first.
PBzeer 6 Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 Okay ... I manually applied a musicbrainz id in the editor. I could then get images online. And, that means I know the ID exists for that artist. So, what I'm trying to understand is why the ID wasn't fetched, rather than having to be manually entered. The xml for Album Artist simply has <Type> and <LocalTitle> (which is what the Server wrote, as I had no xml prior). <Item> <Added>1/31/2014 12:00:00 AM</Added> <LockData>false</LockData> <Type>MusicArtist</Type> <LocalTitle>10cc</LocalTitle> <Genres> <Genre>Rock</Genre> </Genres></Item> And, as I understand it, <Type> is a subheading under <Person>, so I can see why it would ignore the IBN/artist folder.
Luke 42078 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 it works in the same way i described for both albums and artists
