[BUG]subtitles problem about Chinese and Japanese support(or maybe some others language)

When I play a video with a External subtitle on Emby android TV APP,

Chinese and Japanese doesn't display right.

All chinese and Japanese was replaced by “rectangle block”.

 

 

I found this problem in Emby Web APP either when I choose  “All complex formats (ASS, SSA, VOBSUB, PGS, SUB/IDX, etc.)” in “burn subtitles”

tested the beta version  3.2.40.4 , the same problem(download the 3.2.40.5 from the github,but it's 3.2.40.4 acctually)

Yea i think we have some work to do here. We need to make sure that ffmpeg is configured with a font that has these glpyhs available.

@@CatSama, with the next version of emby server we'll be using our own supplied fonts.conf file rather than relying on the one on your system.

 

Let's see if this shows any improvement.

Now I tested the new android app with libMpv ,it works well.

 

And the subtitle's problem may be fixed in next version.

 

Now I'm trying to translate Emby to Chinese,see if I can translate Chinese to 100%.

 

And now I am thinking about paid for Emby Premiere as I said.

 

I‘m glad that all my topic was replied and I can see you fixed those bugs I posted one by one.

(not like Plex , they do never reply)

 

Anyway, waiting for the next emby server's version.

And with the 3.2.60.13 , the probelm become more serious.

 

When I play some videos with chinese subtitle, this error happend.

 

 

the error doesn't happend if I play these viedos with no subtitle

Hi, It's 3.3.0.0 now ,but ............. the "next version" still doesn't come.
