Unable to log in as one of my users

I have multiple users with access to different libraries. I am unable to log in with my main user when using AppleTV on a network outside of my home network (i.e hotel wifi). I have another user with access to the same libraries that will load just fine. Any ideas why this one user is unusable outside of my home network? 

 

I would create a new user replicating the main user, but then I would lose all my history.

sorry, I should have included that in the original post. 
The app crashes. no error message. Just takes me back to the appleTV home screen.

What is the user name and what is the version of the app?

Asking the user name got me thinking. The user name was "Movies & TV". I just changed it to "Movies" and was able to successfully log in. Maybe there is an issue with the "&" in the username?

Yes, that's what I suspected but I thought we took care of that.  What is the version of the app you are showing?
