jachin99 88 Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 I'm sure I broke something but none of my coverart is being displayed in any of the emby apps across all devices and emby apps. I have emby xml enabled, and I also tried enabling .nfo files. I can see the .nfo files in their respective folders but i still can't get any images to display, and my live backgrounds are no longer working. How would I go about troubleshooting this? Off the top of my head, would it be a permissions issue? I recently changed some of the permissions on my media drives, and I could have messed something up there. How can I check those drives to ensure Emby has the permissions it needs to do its job? Thanks.

jachin99 88 Posted November 27, 2017 Author Posted November 27, 2017 Here are some logs. What is strange is that box set cover art does display correctly. server-63647337600.txt MBClassic-27112017d3f923c9637b41e1b35e1a6efe54024a.log
Luke 42085 Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Your log is full of network problems that you will need to resolve: 64-Bit Process: True User Interactive: True Processor count: 4 Program data path: C:\Users\Home Server\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server Application directory: C:\Users\Home Server\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\System System.IO.IOException: The network name cannot be found. In addition, please install the latest version of emby server from the website, then use the plugin catalog to install the latest compatible version of the cover art plugin. thanks.
jachin99 88 Posted November 28, 2017 Author Posted November 28, 2017 Well I had to go on a tirade and delete smb v1 from every machine on my network which seemed to break emby at first. BUT then for testing purposes, i looked over that log, and then added a folder with some pictures from that same drive to my library. I did a library scan from here, and I could easily browse my newly added pictures. Just for fun, I checked the permissions on the folder I just added and I saw an entry for an object starting with S1 that looked just like one I deleted from every folder when i went on my previously mentioned tirade. From here, I deleted my emby movies library, and added it again, and my library scan is still occurring but on the movies Emby has picked up I see cover art again. So the moral of my story is I need to learn how to read a log but now I know what that mysterious object was that had full control over my media folders. My next question is what is the minimum level of permissions emby needs to do its job?
