Kodi restore on several machines - is a new ID should be generated ?

Hi Guys

 

I have searched for posts related to this but I haven't found anything here nor in the wiki so here is my question

Sorry if the answer is already somewhere

 

I have several kodi machines. I usually set everything up on the main one (shield tv) and then I use backup/restore to install easily the same thing on the other ones (fire sticks).

 

I was wondering it was a bad practice because the server would be confused, especially as I noticed in settings/advanced that one could generate a new id.

 

Do you think it would be better after a restore on another machine to generate a new id ?

If you are not using the emby for kodi backup/restore method, then yes you need to do that and then restart Kodi.
