Sync Schedule

Hi all,

 

You'll see from my (limited) postings in the past that I've been following the sync functionality on android and it's come a long way from where it started and is great as a "set and forget" item. However, I've noticed that synchronisation can take a toll on my battery and occur at times when it is not desired (eg. at work).

 

There are two improvements that would help my solution (and poor upload rate) immensely:

 

1) Can you add facility to only allow synchronisation to occur between restricted hours (that can be configured)? ie. between 10pm and 6am.

 

2) When the option "Sync only on Wifi" is selected, please add a text field where a list of configurable SSIDs (WiFi network names) on which synchronisation is allowed can be saved.

Hi all,

 

I've been speaking to one of my primary users about the above requests and then a better solution hit me for request 1). Instead of scheduled hours, an option to only allow sync whilst on charge (doh!).
