osak00006 12 Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 Hi Guys, When using Emby for Kodi, does Kodi still respect changes to the video cache made via advancedsettings.xml? IE: <advancedsettings> <cache> <buffermode>1</buffermode> <memorysize>139460608</memorysize> <readfactor>20</readfactor> </cache></advancedsettings> Or asked another way, I use Emby for Kodi and love it, but I get some video buffering/stuttering every so often. My hardware is solid, Chromebox M004U (LibreELEC) and powerful Unraid server hardwired w/ Cat6. Trying to flush the kinks out, and just looking for the best way to do it, when using Emby for Kodi...

Bump. Anybody?
Angelblue05 4132 Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 For future reference, when you have a question related to Kodi, post in the Kodi forums here, otherwise I may miss your post. Yes using Emby for kodi leaves playback up to Kodi so those settings do effect playback. If you could give more info about how you setup emby for kodi? Are you using native playback, add-on playback, are you transcoding? .
bgx 17 Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 In short to clarify: - transcoding doesn't use cache (only 8sec buffer witch is hardcoded in kodi) - directplay does use cache
