Tyro 1 Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 (edited) If a movie title is reused (a remake) and both are in the library, Sorted by Name Ascending The newer movie year is displayed before the older (year order is reversed) Example:Casino Royale (1967)Casino Royale (2006) is displayed as Casino Royale (2006)Casino Royale (1967) Believe 1967 should be displayed before 2006 since order is ascending. I Similarly with "The Avengers" Edited November 24, 2017 by Tyro
Luke 42085 Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 hi what are the sort title values for each of those? i would check them. thanks.
Tyro 1 Posted November 24, 2017 Author Posted November 24, 2017 (edited) Apologies. Not sure what I should be looking for. A bit of guidance please? Sort options are by Name and Ascending. File paths: movies/Casino Royale (2006): Casino Royale (2006).mkv movies2/Casino Royale (1967): Casino Royale (1967).mkv Edited November 24, 2017 by Tyro
Luke 42085 Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 Go into the detail screen for each item, click the 3-dot menu -> edit. Then see what the sort titles are. thanks.
Tyro 1 Posted November 24, 2017 Author Posted November 24, 2017 Both sort titles are blank. If important, the 2006 movie is encountered first in the DB. I have both DB records if desired.
Tyro 1 Posted November 24, 2017 Author Posted November 24, 2017 (edited) Thinking out loud:Select from order by name direction, release-date direction; (or 'air-date' if episodes) .. that type thinking hopefully a clue/hint? Edited November 24, 2017 by Tyro
