Raspberry Pi 2 or chromecast 2edition

What hardware between Raspberry Pi 2 and Chromecast 2 edition need less transcoding.

 

Because my emby-server pc have low power and it has difficulty to transcoding LiveTV from HDhomerun

Both are great choices. Have you researched supported media for the devices?

my  HDhomerun dont make hardware transcode. Its my emby-server on linux desktop who make hight trancoding when i listen liveTv. Its maybe time to change PC.
