GothsterC 50 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Hello, I'm having a strange problem with Android Mobile on both my Samsung Note and my HP Android tablet. This just started happening recently. I never had this before in the past two years. Whenever I watch an SD movie on either device, I get a green stripe on the right side of the picture. It doesn't matter if the stream is 4:3 or 16:9. It looks fine with HD streams. I am running the latest Emby server on Windows and the client apps are updated. BTW, it works fine in the browser on Windows, Roku and on the Amazon Fire TV. It appears that only the Android Mobile client has this problem. Any ideas?
arrbee99 1815 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Might be connected with this https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/52724-no-tuning-sd-channels-v1504g/?hl=green#entry509217 somehow. Or it might not (I have a tendency to link things together that aren't...). Not sure if it was fixed either.
GothsterC 50 Posted November 19, 2017 Author Posted November 19, 2017 Thanks for the reply. I don't think that is the issue. The stream plays fine. No stuttering, no other issues other than this green stripe overlaying the right 10% of the screen. It isn't even opaque and I can see the stream's image underneath it. It's strange that nobody else has seen this. I am getting the same issue on two very different devices, but with the Android Mobile client only. The Chrome browser on Android works fine. Also when I use an external player like VLC it works fine.
arrbee99 1815 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Fair enough. Just mentioned it as I saw the title of the thread and knew I'd seen something similar recently, and he (and you) specifically mentioned SD material.
