Can't cast from web app to Chromcast dongle

First time trying this configuration. Attempting to cast a TV show from Chrome version 62.0.3202.94 on a Macbook Pro running OS X 10.10.5 to an original series Chromecast dongle.

 

The dongle receives the request to play and shows the details screen but the loading indicator just spins.

 

Casting from an Android phone using the Emby for Android mobile app plays fine on the same dongle.

 

Any ideas?

Ok, I just tested and it worked perfectly fine, also to an original gen 1 chromecast.

Just tried factory resetting the Chromecast and same results. Any ideas what else I can try Luke? Tried on both wired and wifi too.

First please update to the latest version of Emby Server, thanks !

Hmmm. Server reports I have am up to date (3.2.33.0). I tried downloading anyway and I do notice that its a newer version but it wont install on my OS X 10.10 system?

 

I do also have an Nvida Shield and Emby web app casts fine to that. It only doesnt work to an gen 1 dongle.

Ok yes that's unfortunate. Are you not able to update MacOS?
