dassystem 0 Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 Hi,my filesystem structure is standard: ../Artist/Album/Song.mp3But I discovered, that some albums are missing inside the Emby library, or some albums have way too many songs in it. It occurs, when I have at least one mp3 at the same level as an album-directory:---Example: [Artist]/ [Album1]/1.mp3 [Album2]/2.mp3 noalbum.mp3 This results in Emby library with just one single album (called Album1) with 1.mp3, 2.mp3 and noalbum.mp3 merged alltogether. I can't find Album2, but the metadata of 2.mp3 is correct.---Can I enable sorting and grouping just by metadata, not by filesystem hierachy? Thanks in advance
Luke 42085 Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 Hi, the issue is the presence of noalbum.mp3, which causes the artist folder to be treated like an album. If you can put that into an album folder then that will resolve this. Thanks.
Luke 42085 Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 Can I enable sorting and grouping just by metadata, not by filesystem hierachy? As far as this goes, we are working to get to that point so that we can accommodate any kind of mish mash folder structure, but we're not fully there yet. In the meantime, a little bit of structure is required. Thanks.
