Metadata Image Issue

My issue seems to be happening more in the last two Stable server updates. I have noticed that on some shows that I record the episode level image isn't being pulled down from wherever Emby looks for that information. Sometimes if I manually go to edit the images I can find the episode image available and sometimes not. I am not sure if it's just not available at the time on the site used to pull the images or not. It seems to happen more with specific shows too. It seems it happens more often with the TV Show Bull, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Scorpion. Tonight I was recording Bull and noticed that it didn't pull the episode image.

 

Just for some background, I have all of the possible metatdata search providers checked under Library - Metadata in the Emby server configuration section.

 

I see a number of metadata errors in the logs, but I don't really know what they mean.

 

Here is the latest log from when it occurred tonight after recording the TV Show named Bull.

Try putting tvdb as your highest priority series and episode providers.

Thanks @@Luke . I just checked the settings and tvdb is set as the highest priority provider for both of those.

Recordings are just regular videos in your library, so you can investigate this the same way you would any other video. That means checking tvdb id's of your series, checking that tvdb has an episode image, etc. Perhaps it didn't at the time of the recording.

Ok. that answers one of my questions then, regarding where Emby pulls those images from. I will check this out. 

 

 

 

 

EDIT: Thanks again for answering me on this one. I did as you said and it does look like the images are missing for those episodes. It looks like on two of the The Tonight Show episodes that originally didn't have the images available but they are now, Emby must have picked them up overnight with a new scan. 

 

It just always seemed a bit odd to me because other shows that I record seem to have the images available right away but maybe it's because those are the most popular shows?

 

Anyway, I guess it is just how it is.
