Xbox One App doesn't go to info page on episodes

Hopefully I can articulate this problem correctly .

 

This appears to be isolated to the xbox one app because I use emby on my samsung TV and this doesn't happen on the samsung only on the xbox one recently. If to go to a TV show and select "next up" episode it will go to the info page where it gives the episode info as well as the media info and give the option to play and delete the file. If I back out it will go back to the page and it gives the option to resume if I want to.

 

But when I select the season and choose the episode to play it will automatically start playing the episode which isn't a problem in and of itself. The problem is when I back out I'm not able to go to the info page to resume where I left off or delete the media when I'm finished. Or if I stop playing it and go back to play it later defaults playing from the beginning without giving the option to resume.

 

Is there something I could be doing wrong or differently? This appears to only affect TV shows only.
