aziz 16 Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 I have just upgaded emby server from 3.2.33.0 into 3.2.36.0 and it keeps crashing.. if you have not upgraded to 3.2.36.0.. DON'T... SAVE YOURSELF. I normally have automatic update disabled. I wait for a new release to be out for few weeks, and if no noise, i will install. (i expect if any major screw ups are found, they will pull the code out and replace it with a working one... wrong assumption!) So, my server is just crashing for no reason, and i tried to restore using the backup plug-in and nothing happened. So, i had to re-install disk image to recover.. and this SUCKS BIG... I am sooo Angry as there was no reason for this... just complete waste of time and frustration on the everyone using emby... I am not interested in trying to fix buggy code that someone released without testing.. but here is some log files in case it helps. a very unhappy user.... server-63646123405.txt server-63646123457.txt server-63646123508.txt
Luke 42089 Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Hi, install the latest from the website on top of your existing version and you'll be good to go. Thanks.
aziz 16 Posted November 12, 2017 Author Posted November 12, 2017 I am in the process of a 6 hour wait to do a disk image restore... so... you can forget about me or the entire family using Emby for the next day or so.. I am frustrated because things like this should not happen... people experienced crashing, and the upgrade should have stopped, or at least you should post a warning to users or treating it like beta code... this sucks big time... very very unhappy users (the whole family is giving me a hard time, and in turn i have to give you a hard time..
Luke 42089 Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 It's coming from a third party library, not any emby code, and nobody in our test group reported it. Every once in a while things happen, apologies.
