emby admin account works without password

not sure whats going on. i can access emby from anywhere without prompt for password. just select user and login.. access to server admin, delete library and change setting with full admin access. really scary. other new users created works except this admin account.. i have reset pw, change password but none works

i guess its the local account on the server. i just hide the account from login screen

had 4 but down to 2 now. every new account works except my admin main account.. just works without password. every other account requires pw except admin account.

i will try to rename and see what happens

any device that has already signed in as your admin will still have credentials saved. try using the logout function, then attempt to log back in.

already tried that.  mobile, roku, web. any client just auto login with this admin account without password.

Are you on your local network, with the quick pin set up and pin set to blank?  If I'm on my network, any account can login without a password, outside of network they can't though.

nah.. i think there was issue with that username or database. i renamed it to new name. then back to original username and works.. now password required.
