eNoize 0 Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 (edited) Every time I start Theater, the error message "vcredist_x64" pops up, asking if I will allow it to make changes. The first time I clicked yes, it created playback issues in Theater, and the only way to fix it was to completely uninstall and reinstall the app, hoping the error message wouldn't appear again. I even went so far as doing the same to the server. However, it appeared again and has ever since, except I don't give it permission to make changes. Thankfully, I don't experience any playback issues when clicking No. Nevertheless, the pop up is incredibly annoying, and I don't want to see it every time I start Theater. I went ahead and uninstalled some older Visual C++ apps I thought might be creating the issue. Then, I reinstalled the latest Visual C++, which is of this year, hoping that would fix the issue, but once again, it did not. I searched the registry associated with both the Server and Theater for any anomalies and did not find any, even had Windows run a repair program to be on the safe side. Again, this did not fix the issue, and the pop up remains. Could someone please help in removing this annoying pop up? Thanks Edited November 12, 2017 by eNoize
Luke 42080 Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Can you try installing the latest version of the app from the website and see if the issue persists? thanks !
eNoize 0 Posted November 12, 2017 Author Posted November 12, 2017 @@Luke, Yes! That did it! Of all things I kept trying, for some reason, I never thought of downloading the app fresh from the site. Everything works beautifully now. Thank you!
