rubepeta 2 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Stupid me deleted all my movie.xml files out of my movie folders, how can I make the server recreate them? I know if I go into the metainfo and click save on each movie it will save a new movie.xml file, but since I have over a 1000 movies that would be very time consuming. I tried to do a media scan, but I guess the server has the data cached somewhere because it did not recreated any of the movie.xml files, yet it still has all the data, and yes I do have the setting set to save the data in the media folders. I also tried deleting the media source and re-adding it, but it still had all the data cached. Thanks for your help.
CBers 7450 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 You should be able to delete the library.db file and run another scan. Do you have save local metadata on?
rubepeta 2 Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 You should be able to delete the library.db file and run another scan. Do you have save local metadata on? Yes I save local metadata on. Will deleting the library.db file also loose all the watch statuses of all my TV shows? I am not having a problem with the TV Shows just the movies. I use trakt.tv to keep track, but for some reason it is not catching any of the shows I have manually marked as watched.
ebr 16174 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I guess the "Refresh all children" was removed from the web editor this last round. Your watched status is kept in the userdata.db file so as long as you don't delete that you should be fine.
rubepeta 2 Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 (edited) Thank you that worked for most of the movies, some were not able to be scrapped. Is there an easy way to find out which movies don't have a movie.xml so I can manually scrape for them? The images are there, otherwise I would use that indicator. Edited March 5, 2014 by rubepeta
nrk112 0 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Where did you see some of them were not able to be scrapped? wouldnt that tell you which failed?
rubepeta 2 Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 I know they were not scrapped by there not being a movie.xml file in the folder, then looking in the log file I can see where it did not scrape anything. I just used MetaBrowser to fix the missing meta data. Thanks everyone for all your help.
