DraGooN- 0 Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Hi All I'm a long time user of Emby for WMC on my HTPC and I want to start casting from emby. I've played around with it a little with mixed results but so far I haven't been happy with it - my fault as i'm sure something is not setup right. I'm casting from one of three Samsung android devices running the emby app. The files will play fine in the app, the issues occur after casting to either of my Chromecast v2. In Example #1 below the file does not play on the Chromecast at all. The show background will display with a spinning circle which shortly disappears and then it bumps back to the ready to cast screen. In Example #2 below the file will play video but no audio. Notes: I suspect the issue may have something to do with transcoding as the Chromecast 2 will not direct play an .avi file where my mobile devices can. I checked under DLNA profiles and I do not see a system profile for Chromecast. All librarys have respective network paths added My server is a 4790k with 16GB of Ram and ample HDD Space Has anyone else experienced similar issues? DraGooN- 0 Posted November 6, 2017 Author Posted November 6, 2017 (edited) So I answered my own question while reading this post, at some point in the past I disabled transcoding under my user profile. 2017-11-05 22:45:36.297 Info App: User policy for DraGooN. Luke 42077 Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 That could definitely cause problems, yes. Thanks for the feedback.
