billneftleberg 3 Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 3 days ago I was hit with a windows update to the new creators version and frim that point a library scan wouldnt work it stopped dead at 27% so i completely uninstalled and reinstalled emby after reinstalling library scan does work but its extreeeeeeemly slow what used to take between 30 minutes to an hour has been running for almost 2 whole days and im only up to 70.5 percent is this a settings issue what can I do im including my log though it is huge...i cant make any sense of it but until it finishes the scan i cant use emby server-63645458129.txt
Solution Luke 42089 Posted November 5, 2017 Solution Posted November 5, 2017 hi @@billneftleberg, I notice you have enabled quite a few optional features, or maybe you originally installed a long time ago back when more of these things were enabled by default. Go to emby library setup -> Click on each library -> Configure each of them to never automatically refresh from the internet Go to emby server dashboard -> Library -> Metadata Disable MovieDb for series Disable MovieDb for episodes Disable Omdb for series 1
billneftleberg 3 Posted November 6, 2017 Author Posted November 6, 2017 thank you luke that did the trick I couldnt get the scan to finish for nothing. If I have to add images myself so be it. I just couldnt use emby at all because the scan would never finish. when you add episodes daily as I do, you cant have scans taking days to finish. scanning is the only way I know to get emby to recognize the new episodes ir is there another that im not aware of?
