5.1 AC3 Android TV | NEO U9-H | Minix

Hello

 

I have bought a new minix Neo u9-h and have downloaded the emby client for android tv. 

 

I am finding that no audio comes through for Dolby 5.1 AC3. I can transcode to Stereo but this isnt really what i want to do if possible.

 

My sound is coming from SPDIF.

 

If i play the video direct off the device then the audio is fine by default.

 

Wondering if anyone could help please.

That's not a true Android TV device so we're operating a bit in the dark but you're sure these are regular DD tracks and not DD+, right?  I don't believe DD+ is supported on SPDIF.

 

What version of Android is this box running?

Not sure if it will help with you issues but I perfer the Android TV leanback launcher myself.

 

Does the TV/amplifier/soundbar you are using support ac3? Emby will only passthrough the audio but not decode it. Check your TV passthrough settings to make sure it is on DD/DTS and not PCM.
