emme1967e 0 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Hi all, I am new for Emby and trying to decide if I will migrate or not... I currently have two issues: 1) movies I am using Kodi and I have 2.000 movies in my library using MySql as a repository. Every single movie has a .nfo file (with the same name of the movie) containing ONLY the http address of the movie in TMDB.com I have been trying to rescan the library using Emby, but some movies are not picked correctly, despite in Kodi they are. Also, some thumbnails are not downloaded correctly. Real example: Movie name: Fallo! (2003).mkv Fallo! (2003).nfo contains: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/30287-fallo But it's loaded with another name: "Fallow" and in the metadata manager the TMDB ID is different (=475571) Settings in the library section: Download artwork and metadata from internet = enabled NFO = enabled The Movie DB is the first metadata downloader Any idea? 2) music Currently I am using Logtechmediaserver. I have 15.000 music files. One directory for every album. Artwork is a file called "folder.jpg" All music is in FLAC with metadata embedded except artwork that is in file folder.jpg inside the directory. The problem is that in the metadata manager, none of the metadata are loaded. Artwork is loaded correctly. Settings: Download artwork and metadata from internet = disabled Any idea? thanks
Luke 42078 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Hi, welcome. I'll have to check but it's possible we might only support this format in the nfo: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/30287 and not: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/30287-fallo For music, can we look at specific examples? What metadata is missing? thanks.
emme1967e 0 Posted November 2, 2017 Author Posted November 2, 2017 Hi, welcome. What metadata is missing? thanks. Hi Luke, thanks for the prompt answer!! I will try with only the movie id, despite that is the link coming from TMDB.com web site. If I am not wrong, without the movie name, Kodi had problems loading it. Anyway I will try and return. Regarding the music tags, ALL tags are missing. Only the title is filled, but is taken from the file name and not from the metadata. Infact if I browse the library, the Genres and Artists tabs are empty. The tags are written inside the FLAC file and are perfectly readable from Kodi, Logitechmediaserver, plex and others. If you need I can send you an example of music file to test. But maybe I am doing something wrong...
Luke 42078 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 I'll test your fallo example. As far as music goes, I would still like to see a specific example. thanks.
emme1967e 0 Posted November 2, 2017 Author Posted November 2, 2017 Hi, adding screenshots as examples. You will see the tags in the music file and the result in Emby. Thanks again
Luke 42078 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 can you provide a sample flac for testing? thanks.
Luke 42078 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Also I've got your fallo example resolved for the next release, thanks.
emme1967e 0 Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 Hi Luke, can you provide a sample flac for testing? thanks. sent you a PM. Also I've got your fallo example resolved for the next release, thanks. Excellent. Any idea when it will be available? Let me congratulate for the excellent support.
Luke 42078 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Those files worked perfectly for me. I was able to get all of the metadata extracted from them.
emme1967e 0 Posted November 4, 2017 Author Posted November 4, 2017 Those files worked perfectly for me. I was able to get all of the metadata extracted from them. Hi Luke, tested again this morning. If I load only those 3 files, metadata is read ok. But if I rescan the whole library, then only some of the albums are scanned in the library with metadata. Many albums do not have metadata nor the cover (despite all albums have a file called folder.jpg). Library is made of 1.000 albums and more than 28.000 tracks. I will send you the log file in PM. thanks
emme1967e 0 Posted November 7, 2017 Author Posted November 7, 2017 Hi @@Luke, I finally managed to get the music scanned. The problem was that it took 4 hours and I wasn't waiting for so long... as for the same library, Logitech Media Server scanning time is only 8 minutes and 20 seconds. Anyway will start using it now. Any forecast for the new version with the TMDB changes as per my .nfo?
