"Planned for Future" when this is core audio functionality on any media system? at least utilize any existing db tagging in the meta, even if you do not add a pre-play analyse, that would be acceptable. 1

ryancey 56 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Still a major pain in the *ss, any update or alternative path would be appreciatedĀ @Luke 1
brothom 219 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I'll also leave a . as I'm also interested in auto-gain / normalization. Especially useful when using speakers or casting to an audio set so I don't have to change the volume for some songs when working hehe. 1 1
nlrobert 8 Posted April 6 Posted April 6 I would appreciate this too! Have finally a good audio setup with Emby on a Android TV device connected to my amplifier, playing FLAC files, but now noticing the volume differences. 3 1
ComputerBlue 5 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I would really like to see ReplayGain support for music. I cast music via Chromecast using Symfonium. Although Symfonium has support for RG it would be a lot nicer to have this running on the Emby server. 3 1

It seems clear after all these years that Emby will never offer full-featured music playback and am wondering why Symfonium users wouldn't content themselves with running one app for video and another for audio, both of which happen to rely on the same server?

For me it's because Symfonium is just one way of interacting with my Emby audio libraries. At home I always use the Emby app to play to my Wiim devices over DLNA as it's a far better experience. Symfonium is for the car and auto Bluetooth playback. 1

I meant it would be nicer to have the transcoding running on the Emby server, which is plugged in rather than draining my Android tablet/phone battery. Symfonium also adds a couple second lag to cache and transcode RG when casting which I hope wouldn't be the case if Emby served it up already processed instead. 1
