digger11 1 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 The Halloween Theme was screwing with some of my clients, so after reading the threads related to the issue, last night I upgraded 3 servers to 3.2.35.0. Emby was set to run as a service on all 3 servers, so I followed the same steps I've been using for years when I upgrade. I stopped the service I downloaded and ran the installer I went to the dashboard and stopped the server I went to Services and did a Start on the Emby service Although Emby did start, the Windows Service doesn't show as Started. From what I've read I'll need to go back and switch over to using NSSM for the service. Something else that surprised me though, was that unlike usual, after the first time the server started on the new version it did not say that it needed to be restarted to complete one or more plugin upgrades. I finally figured out why, I don't have any plugins now. They have disappeared on all 3 servers. I've already started reinstalling all of the plugins, and thankfully, the one I was most concerned with, the trakt plugin, appears to have retained all of the settings for my individual user accounts.
Luke 42079 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Right OK, so you missed the updates in between so that's why all your plugins were unavailable. During those in between updates, the developers of all the plugins released updates ahead of time to make their plugins compatible with new changes that were coming. Since you stayed behind on an older server version, you didn't get those updates. It's not really a problem though as you can just use the plugin catalog to manually reinstall them. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
