Jdiesel 1431 Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 I have a remote Chromecast that was left running and was auto playing through a series with over 200 episodes. What I used to do on my Roku before runaway playback protection was added is go into the playback settings for that user and disable all playback privileges until the playback failed then I would re-enable the playback privileges. When I do this when it is happening on the Chromecast it continues to try and play every queued up episode, in this case all 236 of them one by one.
Luke 42083 Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 What you can do is change their user profile setting about autoplay of next episode, although that won't help if they click play all on a folder. I think you are just going to have to wait until chromecast gets the up next/are you still watching feature. thanks.

I tried changing the autoplay setting on their account from my web browser but I'm guessing the setting is specific to each web browser like the quality settings are as the change has no effect.
Luke 42083 Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 No actually the autoplay setting is saved on the server, but they just probably don't have the latest copy of the settings. so next time they go into the app they should. 1
