Unable to connect to server

Hello!  I want to first start off saying that I love this service.  Emby has been a wonderful program to use for my media and streaming live tv throughout my household without having to buy a lot of extra stuff.

I have a rather peculiar problem that I can't seem to solve myself, through searching the forums, or searching google.  I have gone through the the troubleshooting described here https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Connectivity and found that the ports are open in both windows firewall and my router.  Here is the oddball problem.  On the Windows 10 pc that I have the emby server installed I can open the server with Chrome. I can't open it with any other browser by using the http://192.168. (the address next to in home LAN).  Furthermore, Emby theater cannot find the server.  My Samsung s7 edge is having the same problem.  It says no servers are available to connect to when using emby connect sign in.  I get connection failure when trying to put in the host address.  Here is the weird thing about all this, my fire tv in my living room and bedroom run emby just fine, as well as my laptop.  I open emby with no trouble at all.

I really hoping there is a way to resolve this.  It's been driving me nuts trying to figure out what happened.  Everything worked and then one day, it didn't.

Emby server version Version 3.2.35.0

Thanks in advance!

Mckenzie

p.s. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling on both the pc and the s7

Thank you for responding!  I was actually about to post a screenshot of my Windows firewall and router firewall.  I am still having the same issues.

p.s. I thought I had attached the log files to the the original post.  I believe I may have forgotten to click "Attach This File"  I have attached the most recent log with this message.

Try adding windows firewall exceptions for the main server executable, EmbyServer.exe. See if that helps. Thanks.

I can't seem to find EmbyServer.exe, but I found MediaBrowser.ServerApplication and added that.  Is this the same thing? I am still unable to connect.   Also, I wanted to add that I checked canyouseeme.org and it says that my isp isn't blocking port 8096.

Thanks,

Mckenzie

Should be the same thing, do you have port forwarding setup on the router?

Yes, I believe that is what I did.  If you look at the screenshot I put in a previous post.  Unless I'm supposed to put a check in a box somewhere?

In the background of the screenshot, That is the web interface for the At&t modem/gateway. Are you using its on-board router/wi-fi capability?

If you're using it as a modem only then you would be using a 3rd party router (in this case, the 3rd party router would have its own independent port forwarding settings)

Hello Nisten!

Sorry for the delayed reply.  Spent most of my day at a shop getting my calipers, brake pad and rotor changed.  Fun stuff.

It is an AT&T modem/gateway.  I am using it for modem, router, wifi.  Funny thing.  I just finally sat down to check this forum and also check on emby on my Samsung s7 edge, son's ipad, and emby theater on the pc and I'm not sure what happened while I was away all day but emby opened up and connected.  As of right now, it is all working as intended.
