Disabling Halloween Theme

Hi

 

How can i disable the Halloween theme?
Can't watch anymore because of a grey layer across the screen?!

...And the music won't stop until completly played

Hi, go to user display settings -> Uncheck the box to allow seasonal themes.

Oh and also its very inconsistent everything is either a little orange or green depending on which browser im logged in... 

I dont get it: same browser (chrome) but different users (chrome users). i have two windows open one is orange and annoying, the other is green and well behaved.

Same Emby user on different machine also annoying orange... im puzzled

I get a mixture of orange and green on the same screen (like the server dashboard) but I haven't tried with different users or different machines like you have. Maybe its something to do with different versions of the server (beta  vs stable, or Windows vs Linux vs NAS). Also its an Emby Premiere thing by the way. Sorry, I'm not much help, you probably need one of the devs who actually knows what they're talking about...

I'm on Version 3.2.25.0, I hope an update solves this issues. Sadly i can't update now, FreeNas certificate got invalid during vacation and now i can't log in (no exception button in browser).

Oh well, not a big fan of circumstances getting between me and my procrastination time...

I dont mind the theme but the music gets annoying real quickly.

As far as i know:

1) Update to newest version (3.2.35)

2) Turn off theme in display settings (top right, see pics above)

 

for now its not possible to globaly turn this feature off, as far as i know.

Sorry but there are plenty of Emby users outside of US, who does not celebrate or care about Halloween. I just came of the phone from my parents about this 'weird music' coming from Emby today. Telling each user how to navigate the settings options is NOT an option..

It appears Emby Theater does not remember the selection to disable. As soon as I leave the page and come back, it is reselected. I currently cannot use Emby Theater because of the grey overlay. Checked for server and plugin updates and rebooted, also pulled the newest app from the store.

Edit: I should clarify the grey overlay is persistent while video is playing.

I don't usually get this angry about software, but this is bull. As soon as the theme came up, all my stuff is GONE. I tried turning the theme off, but still nothing. The entire web app only shows the menus, and settings, but no media. WTF?

 

I logged in as admin, and apparently all my user logins had their library access completely disabled. After I rechecked the proper libraries and saved, my stuff was back (obviously).

 

May be unrelated to themes, but it certainly was a strange coincidence that I finished watching a show, hit home, the halloween theme played, and my profiles are all reset.

How do I turn this off?  I don't have the option to disable it in the display settings... and I can't use the web player because i'm not subscribed to emby connect... and i won't be after this fiasco.  Who thought this was a good idea?
