Bug with Live TV Access

When I am granting a user with live tv access but without access to manage recordings they can still access the live tv schedule tab and change existing recordings? 

Also when tagging channels to restrict to view certain channels only the banned channels are still showing up under whats on right now and they can click and watch it from there. The guide and channel tabs are okay and the channels aren't offered there.  

Anyone experience similar behavior?

Hi, they won't be able to make changes because the server will catch it and prevent that, but yes it does look like there are some buttons that need to be hidden in this situation. thanks.

What about under Programs Tab (On Now, Shows, etc..) the user is still able to watch channels even thou they have been tagged to restrict access?

You have to take away all live tv access and that will hide the entire live tv section.

Not sure we are on the same boat.

 

Let me explain:

- I am restricting live TV access so userX can watch Channel 1-10 but not 11-20. I have done this with tags. 

- This works and hides those channels under guide and Channel section. 

- But there is a bug under the section "whats on right now" (where its categorizing the channels "Sport,News, Shows,etc...)  

- The channels with tags are also getting pre-viewed there and you can click and watch the taged channel from there.

 

Does that make sense?

@@Sahne, i tested this and it worked fine, but with one small quirk that you need to refresh the guide after applying a tag to a channel.

I am still having same behaviour. The guide refresh removes the tagged channels from guide and channel tab but not from what’s on right now. This allows the user to still view channels which are actually tagged. Please advice try and see if you can reproduce perhaps it’s a bug.

You are correct when refreshing the guide it will remove the channels under guide and channel tab but the suggestion tab (On Now, Shows, Movies,etc..) still feeds all channels. If that user would click on one of the suggestions he/she could still watch a channel which was taged. Hope that make sense now and you can try and reproduce this bug.

I'm afraid I still can't reproduce the problem. It works fine here. Please note the UI needs to be refreshed after the guide refresh.
