Pop Sound when Starting & Stopping Movies

When I play a movie I get this loud pop.  When I stop a movie I get a pop and the sound reduces to a low rumble that continues until I either start the movie again or if my computer makes some sound like playing a mucic file or a windows sound like when a windows message appears and is accompanied with a sound. It even continues to rumble when I close Emby. I use to have this happen in Emby for WMC and eventually an update fixed it.  I downloaded Emby Theater and it is doing the same thing.  It is very loud and I'm worried it is going to blow a speaker.  This does not happen when I play music. I'm using a dedicated audio card connected to my preamp by digital coax.  I don't see anything in my audio card settings that would cause that, but I still tried changing a few things and nothing worked.  Is anyone else having this problem and knows how to fix it?

Hi, make sure windows is up to date as well as all hardware drivers. Make sure you have completed the windows sound setup wizard. if you're not sure, do it again.

 

Then if the issue persists, change any Theater audio settings you may have toggled back to their defaults and see if that helps.
