Dazik 46 Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Hey guys, As of this morning (guess there was an update) a good majority of my movie posters are missing from the movie folders. When I try rescanning, no new ones are added. Tried a few things to resolve this, none of which has worked. I can manually add new images via the manager, and they work fine. However, there are around 800+ items where the images are missing and that just doesn't sound fun. Version 3.2.35.0
Dazik 46 Posted October 29, 2017 Author Posted October 29, 2017 Seem to have found a fix, replacing all the metadata for my entire library... Finding missing metadata didn't do any good, replace it all is running and seems to be working. Will respond in about 12 hours when it finishes and confirm either way.
Luke 42089 Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Running a regular library scan would probably have been fine too.
Dazik 46 Posted October 29, 2017 Author Posted October 29, 2017 Running a regular library scan would probably have been fine too. Normal scan wasn't doing anything. The actual images vanished from the folders over night. The "replace all metadata" task fixed it. I also deleted the cache directory before I ran it. I have the normal scan run every 3 hours (lot of automatic download stuff I have setup). Anyway, just an update. That last update definitely messed with something. If anyone else has the same problem, I think the only real fix is to run the task.
Luke 42089 Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Got it OK. So whatever deleted the images, Emby Server would just react to that and not show any images at all. To get new images a refresh of content would be required.
Happy2Play 9785 Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 @ What OS is the server on? How did you upgrade to 3.2.35.0? Where do you save metadata to?
Dazik 46 Posted October 29, 2017 Author Posted October 29, 2017 (edited) What OS is the server on? How did you upgrade to 3.2.35.0? Where do you save metadata to? Windows 10. Automatic Update. Metadata is saved to a hidden folder within my media array (same as media files, but not the same drive as Emby). Edited October 29, 2017 by akensai
