braddles69 7 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Hi, I had this as an appendix to another problem (which was solved...thanks Luke). What's been happening lately, (I am on the latest beta's of server and MBC) is that when I initially turn on my HTPC, it loads into Win 7, then "Loading MB Server screen hits, and within 30 secs races to 90% complete, but then hangs there for about another 2-3 mins. My system is core i5 2400S, 8 gb Ram Win 7 x64, OCZ Agility 60gb SSD (pointing to NAS). As this hang occurs, if we try to log in we get a "MB server is not running on the local host" error retry. This only started happening about a week ago and the funny thing is that my office PC loads the server in about 40 secs complete and the only major difference is a Samsung SSD. I have a log where it is occurring https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_6qLrpWrZlFeWJ5cmJIaWNHZTQ/edit?usp=sharing and wondered if there was anything in there that would explain this small hang that is a little bit annoying. Thanks and appreciate any thoughts or ideas, if I have any settings wrong. Cheers
ebr 16169 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Actually looks like it hangs for about a minute and 18 seconds . It is taking that long to start up the http server. If I had to guess, I'd say your network interface is taking that long to re-initialize on that machine.
braddles69 7 Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Thanks ebr, I did actually check last night while the machine had been on for a few hours and exiting MB server and then restarting took about 10 secs , so yeah I figured it was the HTPC warming up... Cheers
