Kodi 18 experience

Hello all

First of all, thanks for all the hard work you have with this fantastic addon for Kodi.

I know that you do not support Kodi 18 yet, anyway I like to let you know my experience.

I tested on latest Kodi 18 nightly with your most recent beta running on shield tv (1st gen), with server running on a windows server 2016 machine.

Movies , tvshows and music all play ok.

Movies and tvshows sync(update) from server ok.

The only problem I have is with music sync(update). Emby report error: (threading,774,801:librarysync,635,627,737,579:itemtypes,94:_c such table: album)(self.cursor.execute(query,(args)))

 

If I disable music library on emby for Kodi settings this error disappear , but then I do not have updates on music library, only on movies and tvshows.

Yes, I also have problems with syncing my music library. While the initial sync I get the message: „library sync thread exited“. If I disable syncing the music library for the initial sync, the sync works as expected and I can watch my movies from my emby server.

 

So for the moment, while kodi 18 is in the alpha development stage, it’s ok for me.

Yep, when you update Kodi version, it will also transition your existing library (keeping everything working). However, the addon does not support 18, so you get that error when it tries to update.

Yep. I really understand what you say and I think that is normal behaviour , since there is no support for Kodi 18 yet, anyway I decided to post because it only happens with music. The others libraries work ok (sync, update ...) . If I delete a movie or tvshow it syncs ok. The same if I put a new one on the server it also syncs ok. Only the music library do not want to collaborate.
