nrk112 0 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Hi, I'm not sure where the problem is comming from, but I'm guessing its either the server, me, or tmdb.org Problem: Refreshing the metadata from the web interface Edit > Refresh All Metadata > Refresh doesnt seem to update the trailer URLs. Background: So, First I added a video to tmdb. I added the trailer and put the wrong youtube address on accident. I noticed when the trailer in the web interface was not working. I went back to tmdb and corrected my mistake. The correction is shown on tmdb but no amount of refreshing seems to update mediabrowser. This happened with another video. I guess the wrong trailer was entered on tmdb or it was no longer around on youtube. I updated the trailers to another link which is showing fine on the tmdb site interface, but refreshing medibrowser does nothing. Strange stuff: To make things stranger for me, I deleted the movie.xml files from both of those folders and the update still took the previous address. That makes me think its something to do with tmdb having the old stuff cached or something but I'm not sure. Can anyone help me figure this out? I know I can just edit the xml directly, but I would rather have it work normally. Thanks for any help.
JHawk111 4 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I'm not sure what the official caching on tmdb is, but last time I edited a movie, it took over a day to refresh the data in mediabrowser. How long ago did you update the movie?
ebr 16173 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 The information we get from the API is not the same as what you see in their web interface. There is a delay.
nrk112 0 Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 Ok, I wasnt sure. Thanks for the replies. It seems its still not working and its been a few days. Would it normally take that long?
Luke 42078 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 the cache can last up to a week. there's currently no button to clear it, but you can remove it from cache/tmdb-movies
