Emby Theater - optional data and time formatting

Emby Theater currently formats dates mm/dd/yyyy and times as h:mm:AM/PM. This is the commonly used US format but much of the rest of the world uses iso standard and little endian formats for dates, as well as 24-hour time.

My request is an option to display dates as yyyy/mm/dd (iso standard) and dd/mm/yyyy (little endian format) as well as an option for 24-hour time.

I believe this should already follow your system settings...

Unfortunately not. Windows on my HTPC uses HH:mm and dd-MMM-yyyy ("18:52" and "25-October-2017") but Emby Theater displays hh:mm:AM/PM and mm-dd-yyyy ("6:52 PM" and "10/25/2017").

Check under Settings and then Display in theatre

It used to default to US and had to be changed, i see on mine it now has an auto setting which picks up the PC settings

Afraid that's not working on mine. I have display language under the Display Setting as "Auto" but I still get US format in Emby Theatre, and that isn't what Windows is running.

Same here - latest available version of Emby Theatre running on a Windows 10 with non-US regional setting, shows time in am/pm on front interface.

So this sounds like it is implemented but just not working properly.  Moving...

Try setting your language under display settings.

I tried German and restarted ET. Now it shows 24 hour time, or at least the AM is gone. Still morning here. ;)

Dates still show the year at the end but now with slashes.

Tried English (UK) and that gives me AM/PM again.

So there's apparently some code in ET that controls the format. I'd rather not have ET in German though. System format would be best.

So now I've had it set to English (UK) for a bit. Sat down to watch an ep and it is 24 hour time with dd/mm/yyyy. Hmmmm....

Still not the same as the system setting.  :D
