egold 10 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Hey Guys, I;ve been running MB server and theater for 3 months and just love it. I liked it so much i become a donor. All of a sudden I lost the dashboard. All I see is server info in that box is version with no number and shutdown. Under that is active connections and under that is latest news. In windows7 programs under the server I see the dashboard but when I click on it nothing happens. I dont even see my name with the gold star for donating. No plugins nothing. I'm running the theatre on the same computer along with the theatre on 2 laptops and 2 other desktops. I can see all my movies and access them though the theatre thank god. what should I do? Thanks
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Refreshing the screen doesn't help? The developers will probably need screenshots of the dashboard and logs. If you're using a browser with developer tools, check the network traffic in them and see if there are any errors.
egold 10 Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 Thanks for the reply, The server open in windows explorer. This has been going on for about a week. First time I've had a chance to post the issue. If I rt. click the server all the options are there. When I click configure media browser usually the dashboard comes up. It doesn't anymore. I can add a mkv to my library and can see it in MBT on all my clients. I really do not know how to check network traffic in but I have not has any issues with anything else and can browse just fine. I can see my server log. I have not figured out yet how to use paste2.org Should I try re downloading it or switch to firefox?
egold 10 Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 I switched to firefox as the default and my dashboard is back. I have no idea why internet explorer stopped working and I don't really care I'm all happy now. 1
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) You can try re-installing it. If it is actually a problem in the server, I don't think switching to Firefox will solve it. Firefox doesn't have developer tools built in. You would need to install the Firebug plugin. However I don't have a problem running the dashboard in IE11 and no errors show in the console (developer tools is F12). I can also use Chrome without issue. edit: saw your next post after writing this. You might have an extension or plugin in IE that is causing a problem. There are several Chrome extensions that I can't use or I lose access to my bank's online banking system. Edited March 2, 2014 by Wayne Luke
egold 10 Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 I checked my addons and extensions. I never added any on however I did do a java update right around the same time I this issue started. Skype also is added on along with adobe stuff. Anyway thanks for the help Wayne. Fire fox just loads a bit slower and I hate the fact that it's google this google that and chrome and chrome. One day I'll be paying my taxes to google.
