Do you have any control over how the disc art works?

 

A lot of my DVD rips are showing Blu-ray disc art

Using the dashboard you can drill down to the movie, click the edit button, then artwork and search to see if there is a different disk image from fanart.tv that you can replace it with, otherwise you may have to look up the disk images elsewhere on the internet
