AvengersFan 10 Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Hello all, I have a minor issue whereby the naming of my season folder all of a sudden does not seem to not be recognised. For example, I would name a season folder, "Example Season 1". This would normally replicate itself into the meta data section of emby, and also into KODI. But for some reason, the name of the TV Series "Example Season 1 Folder" is not being picked up, and it now only shows as Season 1, minus the name of the show. This has only happened recently, as in the picture you can see older folders still have the Name of the TV shows for each of the folders season. Cheers Mark
Happy2Play 9783 Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 There are a few topics on this. TV Shows showing as Series and Season Emby server no longer filling tv show season year? 1

Cheers Mark Season Nameing Convention.png I think the way to name/organize series with the least amount of problems is: \seriesnamefolder \Season 01 \seriesname.episodenumber.episodename.mp4 \Season 02 Personally I use a slightly different format: \TV Shows \0-D<<--- This is where I add to the Emby library \seriesnamefolder \Season 01 \Season 02 \E-H .....and so on Gives a little more organization when dealing with windows explorer. No issues with Emby/metadata with this structure. Edited October 21, 2017 by kanipek
AvengersFan 10 Posted October 22, 2017 Author Posted October 22, 2017 No problem Kanipek. I thought it may have been an issue, but from what I have read it is now expected behaviour. So all good, thanks for the tip! Cheers Mark
