TV Season naming Convention

Hello all,

I have a minor issue whereby the naming of my season folder all of a sudden does not seem to not be recognised.

For example, I would name a season folder, "Example Season 1". This would normally replicate itself into the meta data section of emby, and also into KODI. But for some reason, the name of the TV Series "Example Season 1 Folder" is not being picked up, and it now only shows as Season 1, minus the name of the show.

This has only happened recently, as in the picture you can see older folders still have the Name of the TV shows for each of the folders season.

Cheers Mark

I think the way to name/organize series with the least amount of problems is:

\seriesnamefolder

                             \Season 01

                                      \seriesname.episodenumber.episodename.mp4

                             \Season 02

Personally I use a slightly different format:

\TV Shows

\0-D<<--- This is where I add to the Emby library

                 \seriesnamefolder

                           \Season 01

                           \Season 02

         \E-H      .....and so on

Gives a little more organization when dealing with windows explorer. No issues with Emby/metadata with this structure.

No problem Kanipek. I thought it may have been an issue, but from what I have read it is now expected behaviour. So all good, thanks for the tip!

Cheers Mark
