1972 15 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Someone who can explain why this happens every time I start up my server?
Luke 42078 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 There is probably a failure in the update process after the download. Try re installing from the website on top of your current installation.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I get the same thing if the server isn't restarted after the initial install. It will happen every time the Application Update task runs between the original update and the time the server is restarted. On my system this is currently every four hours. There is a plugin to add a server restart to the system. Set it to restart the server every day at a time that it isn't likely to be used. That may reduce the occurrence.
ebr 16173 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 What is the exact name of the Windows Account under which the server is installed?
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 What is the exact name of the Windows Account under which the server is installed? For me, the user is "Wayne". The only other user on my PC is "In Case of Emergency" but it doesn't run anything on startup and I am not using the service.
1972 15 Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) @Luke: Thanks for your response. I'll try to re-install it from the website tonight. I will let you know if this will solve it. @ebr: I have got only one user, called "Johan en Magda". Edited March 3, 2014 by 1972
Solution ebr 16173 Posted March 3, 2014 Solution Posted March 3, 2014 Okay, 1972 - that is the problem. There is a bug in the update logic that cannot handle a space in the Windows user name. It is fixed but will take a couple of cycles for you to get it. 1
1972 15 Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 I just installed the download version of the server. Restarted my PC serveral times and the problem did not occur anymore. :-) So that seems to be a nice workaround for the moment.
