Download disable settings

Hi.

 

Im try to forbid rua user to download the files in their mobile devices. But even with the setting of allow user to download disabled it remains possible to download the videos before the vídeo starts there os a little download arrow in the botton right of the screen what should i do to block it?

Unfortunately if you allow them to play video then technically there is no way to stop them from downloading it. The only thing the setting does is hide the Emby menu option to download, but the browser may have it's own download function and there's not much we can do about that.

Cant the download be protected in the way of Netflix or i saw on some site IDM shows "Protected Content" thus no downloads

Those sites use drm which would be overkill for a personal media server.
