Anyway to save shows to another directory (other than defaults?)

I record sports talk shows to watch, in addition to TV shows that I watch, and run through MCE buddy / comskip that I remove commercials with.

 

When I was using nPVR as my DVR driver, I had the sports talk shows (around the horn, PTI etc. etc.) saved to a folder called 'Sports Shows', and I would have series that I want to remove commercials and such from saved to a directory called 'DVR shows'.

 

AFAICT, there's no way to mimick this in Emby DVR.  I prefer using Emby DVR, as I can watch in progress recordings on any device, but I can't figure out how to best manage my library to make sure I can have my right setup (ignore the sports series I'm recording, but continue to remove commercials from my DVR shows).

 

Any advice?

Sounds like you want show-specific (or genre/category-specific) recording directories or something to that effect.

Currently you can only define recorded shows to a single directory and define recorded movies to a single directory, and recordings (in general) to a single directory 

 

There's still the option to move them afterwards from their initial directory but this will probably be considered a feature request.

What you can do is make sure to customize all three recording paths. Set a default recording path, along with a movie recording path, and a series recording path.

 

Then, anything that is not a movie or series will go into the default path.
