Artifacts in WebPlayer

Info: The file is not corrupt it is play able in players like (vlc, mpc-hc ...)

But in Emby it looks like this: (WebPlayer)

 

btw: In the log you see in the Metadata the Chapters, maybe Emby can make a use of them like requesting user if he want too skip the Opening.

I get the same result (Artifacts) but Windows 10 Movies and TV and WMP get a black screen when playing the media also.  Could the issue be the 10bit or Profile?

On Windows 7 VLC player plays it fine, looks like Japanese Anime karaoke, won't play properly on my Emby either looks similar to the OP

I dont test this with Windows 10 Movies and TV... only with emby,MPC-HC and VLC.

In MPC-HC and in VLC it works with no problems.

btw make sure your player can play:

Bit depth: 10 bits

Whit what version of Emby you test it ?

 

!IMPORTANT:

This error will never come if you dont skip.

 

- You need too skip too a position that is not transcoded at the time you want too skip.

 

In the real use you want too skip the bad opening but the transcoder dont have finished the opening yet so there is the source of the error.

I got it fixed, i had a newer version of FFMPEG and that had this bug.
