daniel.bmyer 11 Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 not sure what's going on or if I'm missing a setting somewhere but I noticed that when clicking a tv show, then the season, the listing of episodes are missing descriptions. What's really odd though is if I go to the server and do the same thing, the descriptions show. Below are two screenshots, the first ET, the second from the server. I've shut down and rebooted, rescanned my library, all to no avail.
paulsalter 84 Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Hi This is an anti spoiler feature in Theater (hides description for future episodes) If you look in Settings and then default skin you can turn it off
daniel.bmyer 11 Posted October 16, 2017 Author Posted October 16, 2017 Honestly I can't find that anywhere. In ET if I go to Settings, Display Settings I have the default skin selected. There's no option for that at all...
Luke 42077 Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 By now you should be seeing your descriptions.
daniel.bmyer 11 Posted October 17, 2017 Author Posted October 17, 2017 Well I upgraded to the newest version and now I'm seeing the descriptions. Not sure if it's related..I'll keep an eye out on it. Just another question. I have an older tv that just does 1080P @ 60. Is there any benefit from me putting 60 in the refresh section?
Luke 42077 Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Changing the refresh rate is an advanced feature. If you're happy with the way things are then I would just leave it, but obviously you can play around with it if you want.
Luke 42077 Posted September 5, 2025 Posted September 5, 2025 Hi, this will be in the 4.9 server release for the web app, and will be in the next update to many of our apps. It will come in the form of a user setting: And then you will screens like this: Of course it is not guaranteed to be applied everywhere, particularly when it comes to screens that are more intended for media management purposes than viewing. Enjoy.
