Ghostm 74 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) 1. I really love the web client and server and i find so many great features through the web client itself. I recently noticed instant mix and I love it. When i used xbmc i used the same thing titled "party" instead. My issue currently is i dont see anyway to play instant mix to my home theater to listen to music (running media browser theater). The way i would use this feature if it ever exists is to eventually see it in app's like android and ios, create the instant mix on my phone and play it to my home theater (using mbt client), or even from my pc using the web client and through the home sound system. Xbmc did this with party mode. On the app, you hit party, random songs with artwork appear on your phone/tablet, and you can play it through xbmc on your htpc. If i click on the remote icon in the web client their is only a "play all" option, i would like to see an instant mix option. Or another way (potentially better so you could see the list of songs) would be to create an instant mix in the web client, and then have a remote button be able to send the instant mix to my client... I tried that, but currently i couldnt move to the next song, it would only play one song (the current one) from the instant mix lineup. It would also be nice if the instant mix had album art beside the song list, just a small detail i missed from xbmc. Here was a picture just showing it in their ios phone/ipad app. http://a5.mzstatic.com/us/r1000/092/Purple/v4/18/58/c1/1858c154-162b-0356-115f-931177c5dd36/mza_8781879762314206650.480x480-75.jpg Maybe this functionality exists but if so i have not seen it implemented on any mb3 devices as of yet, if nobody has had time to implement it then disregard this. Ghostm 74 Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 Apologies for bumping but want to retract the 2nd request, as i see its been asked before. Although for more then just music. http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/4804-play-music-films-across-different-devices-in-home-at-same-sync/ First request to play an instant mix to a client still stands though. Would like to play random songs over my home sound system.
Ghostm 74 Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 (edited) Just want to say thank you, the request was filled, now i can play an instant mix to a client from the web browser at least, hopefully app developers for ios and android will also include these features. I would like to ask though, when an instant mix is created album art does not show up, it would be nice if you still got album art using instant mix like xbmc, or plex does when you use their party or shuffle options, you still see album art. Currently the instant mix does not seem to support/display album artwork when a song is playing. Edited April 7, 2014 by Ghostm
Ghostm 74 Posted April 20, 2014 Author Posted April 20, 2014 (edited) I seen this got moved, but i have one last request. Would it be possible to have instant mix in the dlna server? Currently i use media monkey which uses something called auto playlist. Its a dlna sever function that basically plays random songs. If instant mix or random songs were supported on the dlna server side i could completely trash media monkey and mb3 would cover every dlna need. For instance in media monkey server shows up in my avr network input, you click on the server then you can select music or playlists, when you click playlists the auto playlist is present, and if you click it, it basically just does what instant mix does and plays random songs throughout the library, a small but final feature i would like to see added. I use instant mix all the time in the web browser, if this could be supported in the server side then i could play it throughout my home on my avr. Hopefully luke would be interested in adding instant mix to the dlna server side. Edited April 20, 2014 by Ghostm
